First hand - Low pair for him? U should have bet to find out where you were but I think checking it down now is probably ok.
Second hand - Most likely they have trip nines or a nines over boat. Raise to $6 and see if you get a call / raise. I think you're definitely winning here.
Hand 1 - I bet 3.50 on the river and he called with QQ taking the pot. The scare cards saved me a bit of cash on this one.
Hand 2 - I bet $7 and he folded. His $2 looks like a blocking bet, with four clubs on the board I guess I'm trying to get a call from a medium club or trip nines. Maybe $5 might have been about right in maximising +ev.
