Not the most encouraging start for me at NL100. I think I'm trying to be too LAG at this stage. Generally my 6 max play was quite tight at NL50, but for some reason at NL100 I seem to get carried away with the larger numbers. There are definitely some real donkeys there though. I lost a reasonable pot Saturday with AQ on a 9,4,8,xx board. The BB called a preflop raise, a pot bet on the flop and a 3/4 pot bet on the turn with J8....and I hadn't played a hand in 2 rounds after he sat down.

Interesting that you have played looser than normal. If you had been playing pretty tight he could have easily put you on most likely two overcards. On that board a double barrel would be quite profitable and he has gone along for another call. did he have a gutshot by any chance? Although its also possible a 7 on the turn would give you the nut straight. Had you been double barrelling a lot? He may have been datamining before he sat in.

He didn't have any kind of draw on the flop, just a pair of 8's and then the turn was a very low card so I dunno...maybe you're right he'd been observing but I didn't play a hand for 2 rounds after he sat in so would appear tight there.
I think i'm playing looser (or is that loser?) because everyone appears much more aggressive - again could be a factor of the numbers?
Trying to 2 table it so that I am less inclined to play garbage - maybe that will help?

I would stick with one table for now. 100NL is supposed to be the point at which tight ABC poker stops being profitable. I'd concentrate or trying to get some reads on peoples play and get some notes on them.
