As I've been a bit lax in keeping the blog up to date I'd appreciate if everyone can post their bankrolls for the past couple of weeks as of Monday morning. Guesses are better than no figure at all. I do have some figures from a couple of weeks ago so should be able to get back up to speed soon.
A few hands from lunch that I can post. I bought into a 50NL table for $35. After folding for a while I eventually raised from the cutoff with 45o and was reraised to gave it up. After folding for a bit more I then played a hand from the cutoff with 89o and had two callers. The flop was K76 and I bet pot and got one caller. The turn was a beautiful 9 and I bet out for 3/4 pot for $8 which left the perfect amount for an under pot sized push on the river. I'm guessing I was up against two pairs or trips that saw me as overplaying AK or maybe it even was an overplayed big slick he held - who knows.
Now with a stack of $54 I almost immediately ran into AA and raised and got a caller from the big blinds who had $18 behind. A dry flop of Jxx with no draws and I faced a pot sized bet of $4.50. I called and another nothing card showed. He pushed for his final $12. I called and my pocket rockets were way behind his flopped trip Jacks. Should I have put him on trips here and folded that last bet? I suspect KK and QQ would have reraised. I was expecting it to be AJ or trips.
Now down once again (this is all in a 15minute session) I managed to climb back up to positive territory. Playing four handed I raise once again in the cutoff with a borderline hand this time K6s. My raise has two callers. The flop comes J62 with two hearts giving me the flush draw. One check and the remaining short stack makes an overbet push for $10. I think I'm likely to be ahead with probably 14 outs twice so call. The turn is a six and he turns over absolutely nothing for a pure bluff. Lunch is over and I add $15 to my bankroll.

I started my Omaha challenge (taking $100 to $1000) but stalled as I became aware my play was better suited to short stacking. Have since purchased the Farha book and re-read some other materials on Omaha. Restart December maybe.
My roll in NLHE is back up to just under $3000 after taking a kicking at NL100. Some fruity HU games have given me back my intial losses - but I have been accused of being a hit and run artist several times (meh)
Care to hazard a guess what your roll was at on Monday of this week and Monday of the week before deadly and I'll post retrospective rolls for the past two weeks.
Ah I thought for one second you had turned $100 into $1,000 but just realised you were restating the challenge! Did you bust out or is your $100 depleted?
We could always try a heads-up challenge as part of the next poker night. Everyone sticks in $100. If we have 8 people then we play round 1 semis and finals for a $600/$200 split maybe? Blinds increase every 5 minutes.
The $100 was down to about $90, but I have stopped the challenge until I am ready to "go for it"
t's such a tickety-boo site. imaginary, acutely stimulating!!!
