Deadly takes an unexpected tumble as he faces a down-swing. We await Rummy rising from his slumbers to update us on his week. Moocher busts out properly and arises in the middle of the night to try and resuscitate his lifeless bank-roll to no avail.
Lamma Jim proves he is better on stage than felt as he raises money for the Kids of Nepal and continues to donate online - what a nice lad.
Bigshot Bog takes off to Macau I believe but confesses to having another slide this week as Re-buy tournaments eat into his bank-roll. I believe the prizes get pretty hefty in these tournies so he may yet spring a big win and catapault himself up the table. The flip-side is he may end up with the Wooden spoon for this year's online challenge.
I manage to score my biggest win to date - and without a bonus in sight. Actually there was as I cashed in some FPP points for a fifty quid Amazon book voucher.
I played a marathon 4 table session on Saturday. 7 hours of solid poker. I got my money in good mostly and held up most of the time to take down $260 bucks. I managed a shorter session on Sunday where I managed to add to my tally despite losing a big pot with a combo-draw against two pair and then making a stack-a-donk check raise move which worked with QQ but his 99 had hit a set. I actually had a poor spell on the Saturday where I started to call too much and started to leak a little before kicking my aggression but was happy with my play.
I actually play much better once I have some winnings behind me as I’m less afraid to play my big draws aggressively.
All in all a very good week for me. My desktop wouldn’t start so I cranked up my lucky lap-top which I hold accountable for my good fortune. My desktop now shows a winning rate of 3.5PTBB/100 for 25NL and 0.5PTBB/100 for 50NL. My lucky laptop on the other hand shows a 13PTBB/100 for 25NL and 11PTBB/100 for 50NL showing an average hourly win-rate of US$20 an hour. Too good to maintain in the long run but still a pretty decent sample size, so it counts for something.
I also cashed out another $500 so have now cashed out HK$24,000 for the year with an initial target of HK$50,000 set at the start of the year. Not likely I’ll get there but I could cash out another 10K and still be rolled for 50NL so I would need to win another US$2,000 in the last two months to hit my target.
Likely to be a complete poker free week for me next week with corporate functions every night this week.
