Getting back on track

Dropped down to 25NL on Monday, single tabling and managed to claw back $30 playing solid considered poker. Racked up another small win on 25NL and then moved back up to 50NL when I'd found a soft table. Managed to find somebody happy to call down a lot and he did so with two Aces on the flop. I presume he had an Ace but as my pocket nines hit a set he mucked. He seemed to tilt after that and called a raise allin with his last $5 with just 23o on a board with no draws. He needed runner runner as he was beating precisely nothing.

Two more days - and another two winning sessions required to get back on track. With Deadly set to stand still until he returns its a time for eating into that early lead he created.

Bankrolls - Week 4

Week 4 (Jan 21-28) Lamma Poker Exchange 1243 (+608)

1) Deadly: Weekly Total +280 Total +801
2) Phillberto: Weekly Total +280 Total +257
3) Bigshot Bog: Weekly +20 Total +85
4) Moocher: Weekly: -60 Total +$20
5) Lamma_Jim: tbc Total -20

Well its Deadly off at a fair rate of naughts in January. Phillberto sparks a bonus fueled recovery to the year. Bigshot chalks up a winning week despite being in a much stronger position earlier in the week. Moocher sees his bankroll being eaten into but still stays in the red and Lamma_Jim after his cash game conversion still seems to be learning the ropes at 10NL as he drops a couple of buy-ins with possibly more to report.

I'll be compiling a monthly report but will now take bankrolls on the 1st of the month to ensure we don't have three week or five week months.

With $143 required I'm now hard pressed to stay on track for my monthly target so will settle for keeping within $100 of my target and hope for a good February.

Brass Monkeys - Live

Moocher followed in his tracks as Spicer once again called down his river bet bluffs to see him delving into his expenses slush fund on two occasions. Sham playing tighter than his norm kept a low profile taking down a couple of mid sized pots to finish up while Pete joined late and again showed down enough good enough hands to take down a selection of mid sized pots.

I manage to turn trips into a bluff but leave myself sufficient outs to spike a full house. Take another mid sized pot down on the flop with an open ended straight draw but then fritter it all away on blinds and speculative calls.

The main action falls on the final hand with Moocher as catalyst with his remaining stack of $70 going allin blind pre-flop. Deadly under the gun called and was joined by the Don who had newly bought in giving him $200+ and Bigshot who was otherwise breaking even.

With the rest of the remaining stacks going in post-flop as expected the cards were flipped. Deadly showed Pocket 6's ahead of Moocher's range but couldn't have been confident after seeing two more callers. With the Don holding QT he obviously has some gamble in his blood and he was happy to have spiked the Ten putting him ahead. Bigshot showed KQ who having previously dominated the Scottish one was now down to three outs, one more than Deadly. Moocher's cards escape my memory - two undercards to the ten perhaps.

The river blanked and Don took down the main pot plus two side pots to ensure his losses were reasonable and moving last year's big winners 2008 account into deficits.

Anyone around for CNY? Any prospect of a game over the break?

Summary (HK$)
Spicer +464
Sham +254
Pete +234
Doug +160
Phil +106
Bigshot -200
The Don -300
Moocher -600

Bonii arrive in the nick of time

I recover slightly on Unibet to ensure I leave with more than I put in. Still was a losing player but I have some $$ in my pocket thanks to my bonus whoring safety net. So its on to the next bonus for me and my research proves that to be Ultimate Bet. I may not bother clearing the bonus as its a pretty meagre hourly rate but I did fancy the $50 free of tourney dollars. I reckon I can turn them into cash in under ten hours play so works out at a reasonable rate. I get off to a winning start at 5+0.50 before realising my tourney $$ aint to be seen. Not to worry I try Pacific again and manage to solve my previous software woes although do have to manage without Poker Tracker holding my virtual hand.

With the occasional lunch time hand at Poker4Ever I've seen my accounts creep upwards and I believe I'm now around $350 up giving me a fighting chance of hitting my first monthly target.

A misunderstanding of the terms of the Unibet sports bet clearance terms mean I need to bet another $30 bucks this week and I plump for the following:

Federer v Djokovic First set under 9.5 games. $3 Price: 2.32
Federer v Djokovic Total games played Under 40.5. $10 Price: 1.85

So I'm looking for a Federer stroll in the park.
Villa v Blackburn Draw $2.50 Odds: 3.2
Falkirk v Celtic $2.50 Odds: 7.50
Hibs v Gretna $2.65 Odds: 6.75
Kilmarnock v Dundee U $5 Odds: 2.6
Motherwell v Inverness $5 Odds: 1.9

It will give me some added interest in the weekends sport and whatever happens I can't lose money and I'll be cashing in whatever winnings I have on Monday.

Now all I have to do is play some winning poker - hopefully including the coming Live game on Saturday night. Bring it on!

Moving off the Bottom of the Table

I was planning to have a night off but with Mrs P feeling under the weather and opting for an early night and the kids in bed my hand was forced. I tentatively fired up a 40eNL table and hid a flurry of good hands. Aces were coming every second hand. I was reraising with AK preflop and forcing laydown and low pairs were hitting trips. UNfortunately I wasn't getting action and did survive an allin being called by a short stack with us both on AK. I also got allin with another short stack with an open ended straight draw with us both having the same draw. I think my willingness to get in with 'gambling' hands was noted and as a result I got a call in a reraised pot on a 9xx after pushing with my rockets for a pot sized bet. It took him an age to call so I was confident I was ahead and up against a lower high pair. But my bad luck returned and he had called with 9T and hit a second 9 to put be back at a deficit. I then proceeded to take 2/3rds of my losses back two hand later when I reraised on the turn with top pair and a flush draw and got called and then was paid off after a river raise.

I continue hitting big pairs but don't get action. I even fold 3s preflop which would have hit quads on a very high octane board that two players got allin on.

I then get some action when I'm reraised preflop by a very tight player who is a complete rock. I have his reraising range as very small maybe QQ+ and not even sure about AK. I opt just to call and the flop comes KQx. I don't have to think too hard when he puts me allin as I felt him.

My favourite hand of the night involved some three way action. I see the flop from the big blind with Q6. I hit top and bottom pair on the flop, and raise but get two callers. The flush draw hits on the turn and I'm worried. I check but only have to call a 2.40e bet to see the next card and try and boat up. A beautiful six arrives and I opt to check it with two aggressive players behind me. My first oppenent makes a small bet of 3.40e considering the pot odds. He only has 9e left so I put him allin. I actually didn't have the pot odds to call to boat up against him but I did for the other opponent so felt I was priced in given that he may not have had the flush after all. He calls with his nut flush and I take down a big pot. I finish over a buy-in up and make amends for one of the two disastrous Sunday sessions.

Now within 3 euros of ensuring I can cash out with a profit after my bonus I could keep my 100% record intact. Only 50 VIP points to go so now sure I'll be adding a $150 bonus to my monthly cash total.

Bankrolls - Week 3

Week 3(14-21)
Lamma Poker Exchange 635 (-9)
1) Deadly: Weekly Total +30 Total +US$520
2) Moocher: Weekly: -13 Total +US$80
3) Bigshot Bog: Weekly +65 Total +US65
4) Lamma_Jim: -34 Total -$20
5) Phillberto: Weekly Total -71 Total -US$23

Deadly chalks up another win albeit this one a lot more modest than last week. Dabbling into 400NL games he is certainly involved in games that are not for babies. Plopping in a GBP55 raise in one game before folding to a reraise. Pretty hefty stakes for just one street. He doubled up last week before scaring the other guy off - nice work sir. Moocher we await his return but suspect good news might have reached us a little faster. Bigshot kicks off his new year with a winning result achieved at 50NL. Lamma_Jim doesn't fare so well and sees three buy-ins disappear at the 10NL stakes. And a woeful performance from me yesterday kept too a two figure loss by steady gains earlier in the week.

One step forwards, three steps backwards

Tis a fickle game poker. After grinding my way upwards for most of the weekend I was up making amends for previous bad sessions and had clawed my way up to within $20 of reaching the dizzy heights of break-even poker at Unibet. Then I popped in for a quick session and got involved in an aggro headsup match that then became an aggro SH table. Half an hour later I was $80 down. Guests arrive and I logged off unhappy. When I log in again later tilt is quick to arrive and again I'm $80 down after firing a third bullet with AK and getting called down with TT on a nine high board. I then manage finally hit a hand and get bet into weakly on the river as Mrs Phillberto arrives - looks and tells me to call and I explain to her the need to reraise for value whilst clicking the extended timer. Except I don't click the timer and subsequently my hand is folded. With red mist in my eyes I do manage to take one hand down and call it a night having lost $200 in my last three sessions.

I now have an uphill task to get out of Unibet with more money than I put in as I approach the final stretch for my $150 bonus and being $223 down. My saving grace me be the Sports bets account there. I lose $10 on my weekend bets but for some reason haven't cleared my bonus in full. That will be my first target for next week to keep that 100% record alive - even if it is by a little bit of creative accountancy. So going into the last week I'm going to need a spectacular week if I'm going to post anything close to my January target. With $190 of bonus looming and plans to get through a further $60 of casino and poker bonus next week I've not completely given up. On the downside - despite emailing Bet 365 for confirmation I was eligible for their casino bonus it seems they punish Hong Kong gamblers by making them clear it at 50x rather than 12x meaning it aint worth it. Seems like Casino whoring will have to wait until I'm in another country. Hi hum.

I'm going to need to work on my poker then. Maybe I'm trying too hard. Time to get back to basics.

Come on ye blues... yellows, whites

Well I've decided to just plop on a series of bets to clear my bonus. I'll be up whatever happens but needed to bet a total of 34.68 to clear it so here are my thoroughly random selections....some of whom may play in blue.
Wigan v Everton $9 at 2.25
St Mirren v Motherwell $4 at 2.4
Gretna v Falkirk $4 at 1.75
Birmingham v Chelsea $3 at 1.65
Blackburn v Middlesborough $3 at 1.72
Fulham v Arsenal $3 at 7.00
Villareal v Valencia $5 at 3.65

Using my extensive knowledge of the Liga I'm plumping for a Valencia win. Ask me to name a Valencia player and I may struggle but I'm nonetheless confident that its a banker.

The main punt is my $9 in Everton a result of a 'Oops I've already bet them moment' rather than supreme confidence in them although I do like that bet.

Seems like the funky days are back again

With a brief lunchtime session at Poker4Ever to whet the appetite I put the kids to bed while Mrs Phillberto played football and drunk whisky with the team. Something not quite right there but it left me some poker time.

I reversed my strategy of two tabling 20 euros and opted for one table of 40euro NL. I realised my game was getting a bit on the loose side. I was throwing a lot of raises around post-flop and was being called down and getting myself in sticky situations. Tightening my starting requirements a notch and even limping in early positsion against aggressive players with mid pocket pairs and not betting every single draw or c-betting every flop were my adjustments. I started off at the table raising AQ and getting called and after hitting a Q I c-bet. Checked on the turn and then just calling a small blocking bet on the river. Maybe I could have got some more value of the hand but the conservative approach I set up worked for me.

I had one interesting hand where I was double stacked and up against an aggressive player who was also quite deep. I'll post the play later on that for comment.

I took down $10 from the first couple of tables I played and then picked up a $50+ win on the third maintaining my 40eNL PTBB/100 rate at over 20. Nice. My 20eNL is still a disaster but I now have my site losses down to just over a buy in and I'm confident I can reverse the situation before hitting my bonus payout of which I'm 2/3rds of the way through.

Most importantly I think I'm playing good thinking poker again and playing one table lets me notice things I'm sure I would have missed playing rushed multi-tabling.

I also get offered another $10 bonus from Ladbrokes Casino making it the third bonus of the month and if truth be told the sole reason my bankroll is still on the increase. My sports betting career continues this weekend with my money going on away victories for Hibs, Falkirk and Aberdeen in the Scottish Premiership. A string of bets next weekend should see me clear a $50 bonus there in time for the monthly total.

Finally on the casino whoring front I email three Casinos and get one positive reply re playing in Hong Kong. I believe they offer a $200 bonus so may have some Blackjack action to fill a lunchtime or two.

I may just be able to stay on track for the first month target re my annual goal.

Bad to worse

Another losing session. A dip in confidence and a continuation of the twin themes of bad play and bad luck. I think Siegfried and Roy have to take the majority of the blame. For some reason Pocket Queens have been caused me to lose over $100 at Unibet and account for the vast majority of my losses. I started off well enough last night and was running about $40 up at one point but they then evaporated. The slide when it happened was dramatic and pretty soon I found myself in a big hole. I struggle with the players on this network. Min-reraising from position a lot. Min re-raising of c-bets or weakish leads into a pre-flop raiser on flops likely to have missed me. I end up in situations I'm unfamiliar with and end up calling too big bets when an unexpected hand hits for an opponent.

I ended up playing three tables and having a difficult call to make on one table which ended up me reraising with pocket Aces and getting called and then timing out before I could bet. I then rushed my call and called a bet with TPTK on the river against flopped trips. Ouch. The downside of multi-tabling.

On one table I'd built my initial buy-in up to 30 euros. In the big blind I was able to see a flop with 83s in a four way multi-way pot. Flop comes K84 giving me middle pair and a flush draw. I bet pot (0.80) and get one caller. The turn brings a 3 giving me two pair and still a flush draw. I bet pot again (1.60) and get called and the river brings the Ace to complete my flush. I bet 2.60 and I'm surprised to be reraised to 7 euros. I ponder a reraise but its considerable strength and still a decent amount behind me. I call and he show A5 for the nut flush. Sure I can't get away from that there and even wonder if without being results oriented that a push was a better play.

Ho hum. Another disaster looming and I can feel the red mist forming so I close down all the tables and spark up a 40 euros one and decide to play solid concentrated poker on one table. It works and I make 20 euros winning I think 6/6 showdowns and making some perfecly sized value bets. My losses come in at $20 and a welcome recovery but still a bad session. The software at Unibet means it is very difficult to multi-table so I may be wiser playing good poker at the 40 euros tables. Over half way to my 100 euro bonus I'm going to need that to reverse my poker losses. Not the way it is supposed to be.

Time to get back on track and stop trying to 'win' money back and time to start playing solid poker and let Miss Lady luck Variance decide when she will favour me.

Letting me win a hand with pocket Queens would be nice too.

Sucky Poker

I'm still playing bad. Played four hands very badly last night. Managed to pull off a win but it should have been a lot bigger. Don't have time to go into details on the hands which is maybe just as well. Ah well I continue on my mission to get back to level on Unibet.

Meanwhile its Bigshot reloaded and he is back with a vengeance. A lean mean poker machine. Off to a flyer it means winners all round in the Lamma poker inner circle. Nice.

Now if only I can start playing decent poker again.

Week 1 & 2 Results - And they're off!

Well here it is the first week of results. Firstly I'll just confirm the Starting Bankroll size for everyone. This is just for reference as I'll just be quoting the increase (or decrease for the week) and the total increase (or decrease) for the year to date.

Phillberto 2561
Deadly tbc
Bigshot Bog 500
Moocher $60
Lamma_Jim $198

Its a good week for Lamma and mostly it's thanks to an incredibly good start for Deadly. Playing stakes dramatically higher than everyone else he is flying playing mixed stakes but dabbling as high as 200NL. He rockets himself to a substantial lead in the 2008 race to glory. Moocher enjoys a roller coaster ride but enjoys a solid start as his rollercoaster dipped prior to year start before recovering. Lamma Jim ups his stakes to 10NL and it works for him as he records his best performance yet. Pokerstars security have made life difficult for me in transferring Bigshot any cash which delays his start to the year. As for myself after my disastrous start on Unibet I manage to claw my way back from near busto by relocating $50 of my sports betting fund and then claw back $30 on a 40eNL session. Combining a $100 & $50 Ladbrokes casino bonii clearance with some winning Blackjack I manage to swing back the 'win-ometer' in my favour.

Week 1 & 2 (1/1-14/1)

Lamma Poker Exchange 644 (+644)

1) Deadly: Weekly Total +490 Total +US$490
2) Moocher: Weekly: +93 Total +US$93
3) Phillberto: Weekly Total +47 Total +US$47
4) Lamma_Jim: +14 Total +US$14
5) Bigshot Bog: Weekly +0 Total +US0

Stopping the slide - the plan

Ok First of all a miscalculation. I seperated my casino and sporting bet accounts from my poker ones but left my Ladbrokes $90 in my poker totals and ended up duplicating it so my starting bankroll for the year is less $90.

So banned from the computer for the weekend and $180 down how can I avoiding posting woeful results in what was supposed to be a glorious start to a glorious new year?

Stage one

Despite Ladbrokes knock me back for the Casino Bonus twice stating its because I'm in China I try again and again get rejected. I craft a protesting email and they finally succumb to my persuasive ways. muahaha. They tell me I have to clear it x4 though and I learn another lesson in casino bonus whoring. Clear the bonus then claim the bonus then clear the bonus.

So I signed in at lunchtime and cleared 75% of the bonus playing $3 Blackjack and am currently $35 ahead. If I manage to keep my winnings above $30 then I'll have $130 to add to my roll. That leaves me $50 short.

Stage 2

Now Ladbrokes have gone and offered me a second bonus of $50 with clearance requirements of $400. I doubt I'll be able to manage to cash out the whole bonus but hopefully can come close.

Stage 3
This is going to have to involve some poker and therefore access to the prohibited computer. The laptop needs repaired so maybe I can stop off on the way home for a 'coffee'. Sneaky but if necessity is the mother of all invention, then addiction could well be the illegitimate father. I've noticed that Ultimate Bet are offering an exclusive bonus for Bonus whores. Deposit $50 and they will give you $50 and they will give you $50 free tournament $$. Obviously you need to play and win to generate real cash but I'd imagine 6 games of $10+1 SNG's would be likely to result in a reasonable chance of cashing out around the $100 mark.

Can I pull it off or will I end up in hot water or bust out in the unfamiliar world of online Blackjack. Tune in on Monday to find out.

Thereafter I plan to revert to winning poker. Shame I can't go for that that Ladbrokes one. Playing 2 x 50NL I'd earn over $7 an hour in bonus.

One last thing - we need to arrange a live game for next week. Who is in? We need a venue volunteer?

Now getting sucked under by a whirlpool

It's official - I'm having a disastrous start to the year. I manage to get Poker Tracker back up and running in time to record another major losing session. Things starts well with me getting in front by 18 euros in undramatic fashion. I then hit big hands on two tables simulataneously. I raise QQ preflop and get reraised. I decide to call and get it in on a non A or K flop. I get my wishes and he bets 2/3rds of the pot and I push. KK for him and my gain just evaporated into a loss. The other table sees mw holding AK. I reraise his min-raise and he reraises. I push and he calls. He shows JJ and it holds up. I'm now $40 euros down. I then decide to look at his stats and see he only raised with 2% of his hands meaning big pocket pairs and probably even warranting a fold from AK or flat call. I then start to get a bit tilty at times and make the occasional poor reraise which always seem to get called but then get folded to when I have a premium big pair.

So I make some gains here but then rack up a few losses but starting to make minor progress back. I'm on the final round of my session having logged off of one table. I raise to 0.80 from the button. The short stacked small blind pushes for his last 4 euros. The big blind who has me covered flat calls. I opt to call with pocket Queens - again I'm thinking of getting it allin on a non AK flop. A flop of 235 rainbow. With a pot of 12 euros the Big Blind checks and I bet $4 euros (I know what happened to my plan). After planning on just getting it in on this flop I'm now putting his range as likely 99-JJ after his check. I decide that he likely has 2 outs here and hope that he can't fold his medium pair. Turn is an Ace. With 20e uros in the pot now thats a horrible card. I have 15 euros left and he bets 9 euros. My thoughts at the time were that he either has pocket aces or is trying to move me off my hand. I push and he calls. He shows AK. I think back over the hand and curse myself. I know I played it wrong and I try to work out which streets I messed up on. Possibly all of them.

I thought that a pre-flop raise would show too much strength and fold out hands I wanted to stick around so I just flat called - maybe not a major mistake. My big mistake is my wimpy bet on the flop. My mistake is to assume that AK would raise in that spot. With an inside straight draw and two overcards he actually has 10 outs so I've given him the odds to see the turn not even taking into account his implied odds. Bah!

When the A hits and he bets at it I probably should have laid it down there. In fact let me rephrase that - I should have. With a moaning wife telling me to come to bed and a bad night of losses already racked up though it was all to easy to just shove and pray.

I am now in severe danger of busting out at my first site ever! As I have some sports betting funds in Unibet I'll be able to move them over to give me a final chance to make some inroads back towards breaking even. rubbing salt in the wounds I've been banned from playing at the weekend by Mrs P and with the prospect of an easy $50 from Ladbrokes it seems I have to let it pass me by.

The good news is I intend to buy a Wii this weekend. I can take my poker frustrations out via some boxing.

Treading Water

After my poor start to the year I hoped to make some amends last night. I played for longer than originally intended but still only managed to break even after scooping a big pot in the last hand. I spent most of the first half of the session trying to get Poker Tracker to work which decided to stop tracking my Unibet play overnight. No joy at all so no hands to share. Made some inroads in clearing a 100 euro bonus clearing 120
of the required 800 VIP points although having lost 57 euros already its not a good start.

I aslo got an email about a Ladbrokes reload which I'll switch to as you only get a week to clear. It's a $50 bonus and should take around 7 hours of 2 tabling 50NL to clear. It kicks off on Friday so hopefully can clear it over the weekend and put myself back in the black.

Amended 2007 Wrap

A very nice end to the year for Deadly which catapaults him into a late win as biggest online winner of the Year. After his squeals re counting the Asian Poker Open play I've decided to split the results from the home games but still include it in the overall total. I'm sure any wins would have been counted in the year's wrap so its only fair the losses are counted.

That's a nasty flop flop for me.

Seems he doesn't like it either but I'm wary he has spiked trips here. He may have TT for a straight draw though or could be sitting on a diamond so I feel obliged to bet out and hope to take it down now.

I can't see an Ace folding to a pot sized bet and there are flush draws out there so pot sized it is.

The board pairs and the flush draw gets there. I'm ahead of Ax and trip 10s so I plump for an overbet hopefully getting paid off by trip tens or an ace that thinks I'm bluffing.
Phillberto01 bet - €2.20
Misstoxic raised - €4.40
Mmm a min reraise. It looks like the flush or a full house. If it’s a flush she has called a pot sized bet with a draw.
Phillberto01 called - €4.40
Ouch I misunderstand the software and call a bigger bet than I intended.
Misstoxic shows: King of Hearts, 4 of Hearts
It's another flush draw and this time one that maybe I shouldn't have paid off on the river. Bah. I take a note that she is fishy flush chaser and carry on.

A min raise on the turn. My alarm sensors are going off. I think she has a monster. I think AQ is very likely now but I only have to put in 8.20 to win 25. Given the range I put her on there it could well be AK or A with an inside straight draw. I'm unlikely to improve so I opt to get it allin now.

I hate this position. He only has another 7.50. I don't think he is likely to have or indeed would minraise a 9. I think a flush draw is a possibility here as is any low to medium pair. I decide I am no longer playing at my best and bedtime beckons. I tally my losses and they are in the US$80-90 range. Not the start to 2008 I was hoping for. Certainly lots of room for improvement in my play but on the whole the card just weren't with me.

2008 Preperation

Bankrolls for the start of the year here.
I'm kicking off with a bankroll of $2500. I'm going to create a seperate bankroll - currently $61 for online sports betting and see what happens there.

Assuming my transfer now goes through to Bigshot okay I hope to gather the following cash together...

Lamma_Jim: HK$780
Bigshot: HK$3,900
Moocher: HK$3700

Total: HK$8,380

I think I'm going to try and get HK$50,000 cashed out over the course of 2008. Cashing out is something I'm going to explore. I'm toying with the idea of using the cash to build a house in the Phillipines on land I bought there last year. It would tickle me to see a bricks and mortar realisation of my poker bankroll - the house that poker built.

Happy New Year

May all your flush draws hit. May you hit trips often and may the fish be plentiful and your poker booty bountiful.

Well it's back to work for me and two weeks of poker free fun in Alba mater.

I'll be starting all totals from scratch for 2008 so please let me know your starting bankroll and we will use that as Ground Zero.

I did log on once over the hols to transfer some cash to Bigshot and Lamma_Jim. It seems L_Jim's money has gone through okay but as it was a larger amount to Bigshot they have emailed me and asked for confirmation which I've provided but they asked for contact details and since my phone was off they seem to have suspended my Stars account. Trying to clear it up with them now. I started my 2008 poker career with a loss last night but plan to include those figures in the final 2007 figures which I'll post later.

I also placed a few new bets on the footie using Unibet and broke even but have taken another step towards clearing the bonus. I also had my $100 bonus from Ladbrokes rejected as I live in China. I checked with support that I was eligible before doing it so I am fighting my case but not hopeful.

I'm struggling to find a site to kick off my year. Playboy Poker is on the Crypto network which is pretty tough at the moment. I signed up to Pacific Poker but the software is glitchy, they use spyware that Windows XP won't allow and their support are incredibly unhelpful and indeed stupid so I'll give that a skip. I'm actually leaning towards Unibet as my first site of choice. Ideally I'd like to sign up for Poker4Ever's Happy Hour bonus but that is only between 3-6am on Saturday and Wednesday morning and I missed my chance while staring at the ceiling with jetlag this weekend.

Normal service will now resume on this blog - ie patchy, questionable content and geeky pokerdom aplenty.
