One step forwards, three steps backwards

Tis a fickle game poker. After grinding my way upwards for most of the weekend I was up making amends for previous bad sessions and had clawed my way up to within $20 of reaching the dizzy heights of break-even poker at Unibet. Then I popped in for a quick session and got involved in an aggro headsup match that then became an aggro SH table. Half an hour later I was $80 down. Guests arrive and I logged off unhappy. When I log in again later tilt is quick to arrive and again I'm $80 down after firing a third bullet with AK and getting called down with TT on a nine high board. I then manage finally hit a hand and get bet into weakly on the river as Mrs Phillberto arrives - looks and tells me to call and I explain to her the need to reraise for value whilst clicking the extended timer. Except I don't click the timer and subsequently my hand is folded. With red mist in my eyes I do manage to take one hand down and call it a night having lost $200 in my last three sessions.

I now have an uphill task to get out of Unibet with more money than I put in as I approach the final stretch for my $150 bonus and being $223 down. My saving grace me be the Sports bets account there. I lose $10 on my weekend bets but for some reason haven't cleared my bonus in full. That will be my first target for next week to keep that 100% record alive - even if it is by a little bit of creative accountancy. So going into the last week I'm going to need a spectacular week if I'm going to post anything close to my January target. With $190 of bonus looming and plans to get through a further $60 of casino and poker bonus next week I've not completely given up. On the downside - despite emailing Bet 365 for confirmation I was eligible for their casino bonus it seems they punish Hong Kong gamblers by making them clear it at 50x rather than 12x meaning it aint worth it. Seems like Casino whoring will have to wait until I'm in another country. Hi hum.

I'm going to need to work on my poker then. Maybe I'm trying too hard. Time to get back to basics.
