It's official - I'm having a disastrous start to the year. I manage to get Poker Tracker back up and running in time to record another major losing session. Things starts well with me getting in front by 18 euros in undramatic fashion. I then hit big hands on two tables simulataneously. I raise QQ preflop and get reraised. I decide to call and get it in on a non A or K flop. I get my wishes and he bets 2/3rds of the pot and I push. KK for him and my gain just evaporated into a loss. The other table sees mw holding AK. I reraise his min-raise and he reraises. I push and he calls. He shows JJ and it holds up. I'm now $40 euros down. I then decide to look at his stats and see he only raised with 2% of his hands meaning big pocket pairs and probably even warranting a fold from AK or flat call. I then start to get a bit tilty at times and make the occasional poor reraise which always seem to get called but then get folded to when I have a premium big pair.
So I make some gains here but then rack up a few losses but starting to make minor progress back. I'm on the final round of my session having logged off of one table. I raise to 0.80 from the button. The short stacked small blind pushes for his last 4 euros. The big blind who has me covered flat calls. I opt to call with pocket Queens - again I'm thinking of getting it allin on a non AK flop. A flop of 235 rainbow. With a pot of 12 euros the Big Blind checks and I bet $4 euros (I know what happened to my plan). After planning on just getting it in on this flop I'm now putting his range as likely 99-JJ after his check. I decide that he likely has 2 outs here and hope that he can't fold his medium pair. Turn is an Ace. With 20e uros in the pot now thats a horrible card. I have 15 euros left and he bets 9 euros. My thoughts at the time were that he either has pocket aces or is trying to move me off my hand. I push and he calls. He shows AK. I think back over the hand and curse myself. I know I played it wrong and I try to work out which streets I messed up on. Possibly all of them.
I thought that a pre-flop raise would show too much strength and fold out hands I wanted to stick around so I just flat called - maybe not a major mistake. My big mistake is my wimpy bet on the flop. My mistake is to assume that AK would raise in that spot. With an inside straight draw and two overcards he actually has 10 outs so I've given him the odds to see the turn not even taking into account his implied odds. Bah!
When the A hits and he bets at it I probably should have laid it down there. In fact let me rephrase that - I should have. With a moaning wife telling me to come to bed and a bad night of losses already racked up though it was all to easy to just shove and pray.
I am now in severe danger of busting out at my first site ever! As I have some sports betting funds in Unibet I'll be able to move them over to give me a final chance to make some inroads back towards breaking even. rubbing salt in the wounds I've been banned from playing at the weekend by Mrs P and with the prospect of an easy $50 from Ladbrokes it seems I have to let it pass me by.
The good news is I intend to buy a Wii this weekend. I can take my poker frustrations out via some boxing.

Need to work on your game my friend!
Railing moocher last nite was fun, and also my William hill exploits continue to go well. Hopefully a good bankroll next week! HU 1/2 last nite, good stuff!
Sorry 1/2 GBP
Yes. Some awful play there mixed in with some awful luck. Well here is me watching my bankroll diminish playing lowly 20eNL while you are creaming it in at the currency equivalent of the dizzy stakes of 200NL. Nihan sir! You are on fire it seems. Hope it continues. I'm now plotting a recovery to try and revert a losing opening week. Being banned from the computer room doesn't help.
