Deadly returns from an extended enforced poker-free break with an itchy trigger finger. I predict an initial downturn for him as he proves just a little two eager to get involved in the action. Sure enough by 7am and just eight hands he has lost $20. A mere blip on his upward rise of course.
Bishot also has to contend with a snake rather than ladder in the game of bankroll building. He is felted 3 times in his session citing lack of concentration and limping out of position with marginal hands. He recovers though to end up just $25 down. I manage an hour of play and tread water for most of it before slow playing trips against a super aggro at 20NL and felting him when he pushed on the flop with a flush draw. I risked giving him a free card because I was sure he would bet. I wasn't expecting a push though but was happy to take his stack. I simultaneously got paid off on the other table when i hit two pair on the flop with QT in a limped pot. He called my raise and a second ten hit on the turn giving me a full house and a flush draw. I checked now putting him on a Queen. Another ten arrived giving me Quads as well as holding one of the queens. The pot was only 1.10 so I went for an overbet of 4.40 (GBP) and he paid me off, presumably with a Queen. $25 up for the night having lost a big pot on my first hand with a lost race against a medium stack when I got ended up with it all in with a flush draw and gutshot against top pair.
I plan to have a trip round to Lamma Jim's this week and see if I can help him beat the 10NL tables. Moocher has secured online gaming in Dubai so will be able to continue his quest to recovering his 2008 deficit.
