I decide to get back on the horse last night after putting the small pair to bed. Small pair - do you see what I'm doing there? I re-check my Interpoker balance. $20 - ouch. I look at my Session stats for this Interpoker visit. A losing player at 6GBP, a losing player at 10GBP, a losing player at 25NL, a losing player at GBP20. Not good reading.
I consider buying in for another $200 but my confidence has taken a beating. I'm $60 at 6GBP level. 10 whole buyins and I resolve to beat each level one at a time until I get back into credit or clear my bonus.
It could be a long process as the bonus clears exceptionally slowly at the lower limits but thats the route I have planned. I take my first few steps on the long journey and win back $16 playing the lowly tables. Even so I call a few river overbets seeing them as bluffs only to be proved wrong so I should have taken more.
It may not be the most profitable route to take to drop down levels but something I feel I must be able to do and a great opportunity to regain my shattered confidence.

In all seriousness if you got your money in ahead in all of those hands on previous blog and therefore were unlucky(?) then you shouldn't lack confidence. You are doing the right things, and by moving down you are merely making it harder to turn this around. If you were making terrible decisions (a la me) then moving down would be the right response.
Reload and get back on the horse etc.
Point taken. I need to have a better look at the hands just to make sure I've not overlooked any bad play. There are a few coolers in there and some terrible bad beats for sure. I was very close to going the reload path last night.
However I've now played 5,000 hands at the site and losing at all levels and I see that as a warning sign. I'm paying off too many surprise hands that hit too much I think. I am charging draws but often give them implicit odds to do so by being willing to call overbets because I don't believe the next card has helped them.
I think another problem may be jumping between table stakes eg playing one 50NL table and one 20NL and now 12NL. The style and quality of play varies and I don't always adjust.
I really want to work on utilising Poker Ace HUD stats better too.If I can dominate the 12NL tables I should be able to rack up reasonable gains in the process.
I've also never busted out at of site before and never cashed out more than I've lost and I'd like to retain that record. I'd also like to show willing to drop down if things go against me.
I'd feel a sense of achievement if I can turn things around before the bonus is cleared.
I also played when Mrs P was sick and I had the kids so was playing in a stressful and chaotic environment. I may have well played the same way and experienced the same results but maybe I could have avoided one or two losses if I was sharp and attentive.
