Signed up for Golden Riviera last night. Decided to play a couple of rounds of 10NL to try out the software and make sure Poker Tracker was getting the hand histories okay.
I do a background check on all the players with Poker-Edge and find that I have a couple of solid players at the table. As I'm not planning on staying for long I stick around.
I'd also just been reading Sklansky's chapter in sizing bluffs so maybe that explains this hand. Normally I'd never do this on a 10NL table but I did have my 'read'.
I fold for two rounds so I think I'll get respect from blinds who are both solid. I raise on the button with 108o. I get called by the big blind.
Flop: Kh Jh 6d
Pot: 0.85
He checks
I follow up with a c-bet 0.65c
He calls.
I'm now pretty sure he has something.
Turn: Ac
Pot:2.15
He checks.
I decide to fire another bullet representing a hand. A queen would make the straight for me but I think he will fold without having at least two pairs here.
I bet: 1.75
He calls
Oh, oh. Got myself into a big pot with nothing here. Oops.
River: 9h
Pot: 5.65
Unless that got there for him. That has to be a scary river for him.
He checks.
I just can't see him checking if he has just made a flush or a straight.
I think a bluff is +ev here.
I bet out for 3.75.
Thoughts?

Dunno I think it's worth a pop - if you knew them better then check it down at this point..you do have nothing.
