Both were in very short supply last night. With Mrs Phillberto off to Disneyland overnight I had the evening free. So with a sandwich and cup of tea I plunge into a night of poker. 20 minutes in and I'm feeling on top of the world. I've selected a table full of fish and I'm up $30. I spark open another table and it starts to all go pear shaped. I make a few semi-bluffs that are called down and miss and my winnings are depleted to just $8 shortly after. The guy that took my money gets busted and the table starts to fill with regulars. After plunging $6 into negative I up and leave for easier pickings.
The next table I take a couple of bad beats and start to tilt. I make a few dodgy calls and my losses are starting to mount. Then I pick up pocket Kings I. I raise and get called by a loose aggro and a calling station. Flop: 8 8 9. I bet and get called by aggro and min-raised by the calling station. My bat senses go off here as it does for the aggro who folds. I call the min-raise though and decide to check the turn. He checks behind. Mmm maybe he doesn't have it. Maybe he has the 9 or a higher pair. I lead for 2.75. He puts me all in for another $6. I'm pretty sure he has the 8 here but the pot odds look tempting and I have Kings man!
I call and muck as he shows the 8. What a donkey.
I give up on that table and persevere on my winning table for another 10mins but make no progress.
After a lengthy two table session and I'm down around $32 with my PTBB/100 dipping to under 9.
It's late. I'm tired and not playing well. What would any rational, disciplined poker player do in those circumstances.
a) Take a quick break and review the key hands using poker tracker before continuing.
b) Call it a night and go to bed to return the next day refreshed and invigorated.
c) Decide its about time I gave 50NL a try.
Answers on a post-code please.
Looking forward to the next post?

I'm sure the answer is c)
Clearly the standard of play will be much better at 50NL allowing your superior skills to pay off in fine style?
